1st post

don't ask me why i just started this blog, i know exams are a month away but i'm feeling so free for some reason all of a sudden :X well anyway today: death race at cathay with walter, mukhil, duane, asad and henry.

before the movie we were supposed to have lunch at plaza sing so i met hao zhong first there, and duane smses us saying the movie's been changed to cathay cine instead. so hao zhong and i go to the mrt station, tap our cards and walk in. then:

*hao zhong's phone rings*
hao zhong: hello?
hao zhong: what? seriously? you sure? you know we just paid for the mrt ride?

and it turns out the movie was supposed to be at plaza sing instead...bye 50 cents. and we backtracked to plaza sing and had lunch.

and then a problem with the ticket lady at GV. wanted to see our student passes badly, and henry and i weren't 16 yet.. so after a long fuss we went to cathay nearby and eventually got our tickets. before we went in we felt like getting a drink so we went to the counter. $9 for 2 drinks. mad? no choice tho, they didnt sell 1 drink by itself. on the brighter side, the cups were some special edition of WallE. and you got 2 walle toys with each set. So...

and

well yeah. i kept the cup because i couldn't bear to see 4.50 going down the drain excluding the drink :( and anyway i suppose it'd look nice on my table. well anyway onto the movie: it's about cars swerving, drifting, here and there trying to blast each other to bits. driver of the car who wins the race 5 times in a row gets his freedom.

Story: 6.5/10 weak plot in my opinion, characters not really well developed, events happen a little too quickly? or is that lang arts talking
Soundtrack: 7/10 i didn't like the soundtrack, horribly noisy rock and stuff but it suited the movie well
Action: 8/10 pretty good, but rather expected since the whole movie revolves around it
Overall: 7.3/10 i would rather give it a 6. don't watch it if you have better stuff to watch!

so that was it. after the movie it was drizzling so mukhil and i went to catch a bus which was supposedly nearer than the mrt while the others went to the mrt.

me: uhh the bus stop looks rather far away *peers ahead* we'll be drenched by the time we get there..huh wait the mrt station's right beside us

on the way to the mrt we bumped into walter and in the station we met the others again...eventually i ended up with mukhil henry and walter. even while trying to speak softly walter ended up getting the attention of nearby people including this indian fella which kept giving walter this glare!! unfortunately walter was facing the other way and couldn't see him so i kept giving him this look which involved my eyes swinging from him to the indian. of course he went on talking and eventually i gave up haha

anyway it was raining hard when i got off the mrt but managed to reach home with my walle cup, walle and eve toys and ipod safely =]

need to get studying, and i still have rock climbing tmr.

time seems so stretched!
