we were invited to our aunt and uncles place for dinner today. the food here is kinda similar yet different- the cheese they used to make pizza were shaped as balls and stored in brine. Crombosomething- some italian name. my uncle crumbled it over the pizza and it seemed to work out just nice.

dessert was special- we had a cup filled with a triple layer of jelly- red at the top, yellow in between, green at the bottom. and a chocolate sticking out of the middle. it kinda reminded me of a traffic light haha. i supposed they made the jelly by letting each layer set before pouring the next layer over and somehow suspending the chocolate while it set. i have to try this as soon as i get back- the way we prepare food at home is so boring compared to here!

i also had a chocolate brownie there. it tasted fresh- not only because it was chilled but zucchini had been an ingredient. the brownie wasn't too sweet- just nice and tasted refreshing. i need to be more experimental with the recipes back home too otherwise everything will taste so mundane. maybe i should i should sneak some aussie baking products back home but i doubt customs would allow it.

it just rained heavily for a few hours throughout the day. the night air here is chilling- coupled with the freezing raindrops it prevented me from wandering around the garden. but i still never get tired of seeing the trees swaying in the wind and the plants in a frenzy. probably because it was steaming hot in the morning.

if only we could have such messed up weather back home.
