although there is nothing merry in christmas we had a great party. i actually got 2 recipe books as presents :D am feeling rather lazy atm to try them out.

christmas chocolate tree- fail. i dont even want to think of it anymore- melting a whole bowl of chocolate nicely to find out it was baking chocolate? terribly bitter. and i had prepared everything else, too. i guess it'll have to be turned into brownies when i have the rest of the ingredients.

on the other hand the multiple layered jelly was a success. pour on one layer, let it set. repeat. barely anything went wrong, other than that the food colouring of the hersheys kisses i threw in the first layer diffused out and made the bottom layer rather cloudy. the jelly looks like a traffic light- raspberry on top, strawberry next, pineapple then lime. or is that strawberry on top. haha, either way it's going to be devoured by my cousins.

i love reading recipe books. with pictures of course. i could go on staring at those muffins..scones..i think i could die looking at those slices.

i wonder if my homes poor kitchen could actually produce any of that.
