i think i'm going crazy over the smell of dessicated coconut. any slice/cake that has it as an ingredient gives off this amazingly sweeet smell. not the strong, addictive smell that vanilla essence has but a moderate pleasant one.

coconut ice slice. i think the suger i used was too coarse and in granules that were way too large. as a result the creaming was a mess and it turned out to be some kind of dough in the end. i actually had to press it into the pan while the recipe said to pour it into the pan. thankfully it turned out rather okay except the surface was uneven. the icing covered everything up and was way too sweet. still, a success.

hopefully the base of the golden slice baking in the oven right now will be a success as well. i have yet to make the filling and topping but both look easy. melt butter in saucepan with other ingredients, bla bla, pour over base. should turn out well.

badminton on thurs. it seems walter has handed his activity-organizing role over to mukhil who unfortunately isn't very active about it. hopefully one cycling outing will actually happen before school starts.

speaking of school i think i've forgot what OG im in :S

but wait, the base is almost done and i shall go before it burns. and if it does, MHOF will become a reality.
