a few lectures today. TOK one was interesting with ksk letting us watch a bit of the matrix. i've always wondered about what if we were actually dreaming our lives but have pretty much concluded it doesn't really matter- and either way philosophy is quite useless imo. i'm pretty sure what everyone wrote last year for POD was either off the net or the most sensible-sounding junk that came to mind,

maths lecture was intimidating. i can't understand how some people actually bother to do a maths EE- but then, they get loads of attention and it can be done without fooling around the lab and such. then again, number crunching. i wonder how i'm going to cope with math HL- if i do take it. then again, i think i'm very likely to get option B. jean woo kept saying- "passion, flair...then do math higher level". i don't think i have either but we'll see how it goes.

english a1 lecture was haunting. the teachers put up a really good presentation- paul tan and brian connor ftw- the war videos were very appropriate. it's horrible how some people play fps-es or rts games without giving much thought to what actually happened in the war. and i think what they think of what happened in the war is really played down- movies and games pretty much never show the true side of what happened. i feel slightly glad now that i left ncc. whenever we went for trainfire/marksmanship training/shooting competitions, i don't think anyone thought of the real reason why we were actually doing that- we were being trained to kill.

i think im going to throw away my marksmanship badge.
