mini og outing today. extra mini in fact; only palmer, eddie, grace, and yiting made it to caroline's house for our baking session. i brought 4 premixes- two each of double chocolate chunk and the normal choc chip cookies. and some baking trays. some of us met at buona vista mrt, then we bused to caroline's house. it was kinda funny- the bus stop where we got off was nothing more than a post with the bus numbers on it! we would've probably missed it but fortunately carol told us to push the stop button after we passed a certain point.

talked, slacked till grace and palmer came, slightly wet. the actual mixing of the ingredients didn't take very long, but i don't regret getting the premixes instead of doing things from scratch after looking at how palmer and eddie cracked the egg! haha and grace kept telling us we were doing it wrongly. only one tray could fit in the oven at a time- and we had about six or seven tray's worth of dough- so we spent most of the time sitting around the table talking.

carol's baking equipment was really good- her nonstick pans actually didn't stick to the cookies unlike mine and we could use the ice cream scoop to lay out the dough instead of using a little teaspoon like i usually do. haha and palmer tried to make a paper rose but ended up unsuccessful and it turned into a paper coaster instead.

the cookies turned out quite fine- most of them at least. some were rather hard, some too soft and some just plain squishy. and we would eat every broken cookie so none would be wasted so i was rather full when we finally finished...but still there should be enough for everyone tomorrow. i hope.

after that carol went to get some wii remotes from her cousin who lived next door and we played some games of mario kart. haha it was really funny at first- i didn't learn how to accelerate until everyone had lapped me once, then i finally found out you had to hold the remote horizontally instead of vertically like i was doing. but i turned out quite bad in the next game either way. probably because i was using a woman driver...princess peach.

palmer left after beating us twice and we switched to guitar hero. i was rather skeptical at first cause most of us didn't know how to play a guitar but it turned out to be something like O2 jam except instead of destroying your keyboard your hands would probably go numb after some time. i was rather bad at first, panicking everytime i saw the circles come down one after the other but in time i got the hang of it. i lost to eddie, won yiting then decided to try the expert mode. grace also chose it, and i ended up only playing the first three colours because everything was going soooo fast i wonder how those pros actually do it. haha it was so fun, really want to play that game again.

another og outing tomorrow and i have math, chem and bio homework to finish up. and a card for jerry and grace on behalf of P.A.G.E.S. and yiting. year 5 has been rather straining even though its been only the first week, or rather four days of it. i think it's the subject combi- the rest of the non intact classes seem to be fooling around half of the time! sigh. maybe i should drop math hl and take something like geog or history instead.
