second week has been quite a blast.
ohgee12 outing on sunday was rather fun, with becky screaming when the bomb went off in valkyrie, then going "nooooooo" when all the conspirators were being executed at the end. i liked the film a lot, and i suppose the real thing was really that epic. but horribly tragic at the same time.
sick on monday. must've been all the excitement on the weekend, baking, going around, whatnot. and i didn't touch a book over the weekend/monday so the homework debt kept piling up. thought of going to the doc on tues but was well enough to go to school so oh well.
cross yesterday. haha some of us put our names in the competitive list but they didn't show up because all the year 6s wanted to take part instead. turned out a number of them didn't turn up and koonhan and vikram took part while i joined thaddeus and juno in the non competitive. it was really quite messy, i thought different levels would start the mass run at different times but it's called mass run for a reason after all.. we started off at the back but slowly winded around the gloopy mess of singlets to somewhere in the middle and they disappeared about 1km into the run. darn it was quite fun after all, burning steam 100m or so from the finish line. actually nicked my elbow sometime during the run but didn't notice till i saw the red stain half an hour after the run. and i actually finished before thad and juno! :P although i'm supposed to be slower. i guess i have a talent for pushing myself really hard- not in studies though.
ib isn't that easy so far. especially for chinese! i can barely understand anything while no one is complaining so far about the work given. and the IA oral assessment is just two weeks from now. i need to score badly in that to pull up my already dreadful foreseen final grade in chinese. but math is quite interesting actually. i took math HL for a challenge- and i'm getting more than i bargained for- but it really is quite something for the endorphins to charge through you after you solve a question that seems though at first. and at the end, yes! three more worksheets for tiong gee. he really isn't a bad teacher but i think he's meant for those really really bright students in math who can actually keep up with what he's saying- once i fall behind i can't catch up. hopefully he doesn't teach any SL classes. almost had to stand because i yawned in his face but it was end of lesson so i didn't haha. and he gave me a rubber band after refusing to let me go to the toilet, and i rushed out of class before he left so i still have it :D i wonder how he tied up his markers just now.
yes, math is quite something so far. founders day tomorrow. celebrations are going to take up a load of time- yay! but scouts after that. its not bad- but its the only thing preventing me from enjoying the rest of friiiday. i think everyone is in a better mood on friday with the prospect of having the rest of the day off without a care...most of us at least. i think the late nights are going to begin soon anyway, and my eyes already feel as if they could bleed. such is the life of a bcmer :(
