second week of orientation. the first week ended on a fun note- we actually got locked out of our class. thing was, the guy who locked us out wasn't even in our OG! the key had been used in thursday's drama elective CAS activity and somehow reappeared at the fellow's home. TOK lecture- the guy asks, "how many of you have actually done the presentation" *a few of us proudly raise up hands* "...that's all? alright: how about Plan B, we watch 2 episodes of the simpsons." and so that was how it ended.
first day was really quite tiring- we had a bunch of JAE-ers coming in and attempted to learn each other's names but failed for the most part of it. 'ACS Heritage' skits put on by the year 6s were really good and so were the videos for heros and villians. ice breaker games and telematches were kinda fun too except we still didn't know each other's names. and oh i almost forgot our leader's new obsession: blue ocean strategy. he loves it so much exceeding 40 minutes of his time didn't really matter to him.
today was even messier. mass dance- a series of seemingly unrelated moves- doing laundry, milking the cow, what not. but the way they linked the second dance was funny- we go swimming, find a chestnut, pump it up and it goes "wew wew". then the third dance: us getting a headache then superman coming to crank us up. wet games were devastating. i didn't take part in the sock wars- seeing the girls in a vicious catfight and the guys wrestling in a sea of bubbles wasn't encouraging. and archis wore some ridiculously long soccer socks so it was really hard for anyone to take them off him, and we won eventually. haha. i did take part in the breakfast twister though, two times since no one volunteered at first for the last round. but i kept putting my hands and feet on the clean parts of the plate so i escaped quite clean. minefield was just a joke, not really much strategy to it but it was fun watching everyone get pelted when the other team's fellow shouted "BOMB"
i think i'm actually glad bridging course starts tomorrow- i haven't been this tired in ages.
