startup 2009! haha it was quite fun. kurt and i met our mentor in the morning at he treated us to breakfast- during the time we were supposed to be listening to the lecture. pasta and a bratwurst sausage- but the sauce was quite bland. and watery. anyway our mentor found a load of loopholes in our business plan (well neither kurt nor i take business so...) and we eventually decided on changing the concept slightly. it seems more feasible now.
the lectures were utterly- gorgonic? they made us stone all the way. lunch was pretty good tho. penang fried kwayteow, honey baked chicken wings with sesame seeds, some prawn-comb thing, chinchow. really good since it was all free. heh we skipped a lecture or so after that to go to 7-11 to get some sweets, stayed for two more and high tea then left. gosh i can hardly remember anything that was said. some words like terminal value are stuck in my head though. not that i know what they mean.
and SCHOOL. i still haven't gotten siddharta- even though i reserved it a month ago. the bookstore people actually forgot to keep a copy for me yesterday -.- so either i wait another month or get it from the warehouse itself. and paul tan is starting siddharta next week. and i still need to read it when i get it. bad, bad, bad.
i just need a free saturday so badly to catch up on work. pretty much every one up to now has been sucked up by one event or another. and i am way behind in chem math econs. oh and chinese of course. english? i think i can bluff my way through the commentaries but if we go on to texts like siddharta.. :X
and bio. by far the easiest subject. everything is from last year so there isn't much to learn yet. pracs still a bit messy tho- i did everything so carefully for the chromosome experiment and was slowly lowering the cover slip with the mounting needle when the whole thing dropped and some big beautiful air bubbles showed themselves in my slide. bleh. but it was quite cool, seeing the chromosomes in action. pity the cells had to die for that..
i finally have my room back. i think having your own room gives you a lot of freedom, or rather you feel that way. like you have your own space where others don't mess up or clog up with their own things. maybe now i can get some work done on weekdays.
