and at last the term is over.

party during chem was quite fun haha. great way to get rid of all the leftover coke bottles we had to sell. that's one thing cleared. i wonder if mdm usha is actually coming back ever although she says she will. although she didn't act as if it were her final day here.

...and i'll have to bring the rest of the math file to finish up on wow. great, and i just realized there's no way i'm bringing the GDC along so the functions questions i'm stuck on will remain unsolved. gah. hmm, bio olympiad notes would be good- could ask mdm tay if it's too hard.

jeremy monteiro and tang quartet. wow, i really like jazz a lot more than i thought. but i wasn't really used to the trumpet and saxophone, they sounded so alike the whole time. but the others were really really good- the vocalist and drummer were simply outstanding, tang quartet near-perfect except for some very minor slips during the first piece and monteiro impeccable on the piano. ooh my eyes strained over the gleam of that steinway and sons grand. i will have one of those one day.

but the structure of jazz gets kind of repetitive after a while even with variations/cadenzas thrown in, i kept hearing the tripping down three octaves on the piano. and the quartet was rather underused, they could have had so much of a bigger part in the whole performance instead of stringing the parts of the piece together, taking only a few seconds each time. rondo form, thaddeus calls it. yup, it got so repetitive i began to drift off. so did lydia as well. but thaddeus, the ever-musical one? obviously not.

still, jazz ftw. at least i drifted off cause jazz music is so laid back and rather relaxed- i would even call it slack at times. suits me so well. if it were some nutty rock concert i wouldn't be able to nod off because of those horrible blares. conclusion: $16 well spent. ah, i'd like to see more of the tang quartet.

loads to do now- pack for wow is the first thing, obviously. loads of food at the ready, thing is, how am i going to cram it all in. and i haven't gotten the money changed yet. and movies need to be transferred to my ipod, heh. haha i still remember pravin asking if there would be satellite tv on the boat. i guess things will probably be quite rough at first but turn out pretty much fine eventually toward the end as we get used to it.

yep, wow will be something to remember.
