and so ida is gone. haha but we got to celebrate her 39th birthday before she went last night! it was so last minute- the maid agency fella had already come into the house and was waiting while my mum brought out the cake and i miserably tried to light a match that didn't. my grandma was like "no no no not like that" and she took the match and box from me and lit it with the first strike...hmph. so much for being a scout. haha ida was so pleased and excited. thank goodness she wasn't sobbing or anything like that because she was leaving. noticed her feet looked a lot less swollen than before took some pictures with her and my youngest brother (my genius younger brother had come out for the cake, gobbled two pieces and gone back to sleep. =_=zz). haha she was so high la. LOL we couldn't take a full family photo with her because someone had to hold the camera...obviously, ida couldn't this time. grandma did it. eh, the maid agency guy should've done it but wow, strong attention seeker la haha. shall crop you out of photo... >:D slipped downstairs after my dad, the maid agency guy and ida had gone down with the luggage. surprised her near the maid agency guy's car. haha so funny la. she actually squealed with a little jump and hugged me one last time before getting into the car. the car took so long to move off- i now think that it was cuz ida was telling the guy to slow down so she could wave to us more LOL. then, off they went. and as the car went off my dad turned to me and said, "i noticed her feet looked a lot less swollen..." /facepalm wow good job you just sent her off while she was getting well?...nevermind. it's all happened already anyway.

so now we have to manage for about three weeks without a maid. haha tis a lot more fun than i thought it would be mafun. made breakfast in the morning- okay actually the only 'real' part of making breakfast other than chucking the bread in the toaster and spreading margarine on it was snipping off the fat off the ham. mm, i didn't really slice the ham thin enough- my sandwich ended up really thick. like some protruding bumps in the middle o.o haha but it was nice. washed up after that. had to help mum hang wet clothes up till little slave brother :D:D came to do it instead so i could go do econs ia. from last year, gah. choosing an article about oil wasn't very smart cuz it's such a frigging important commodity. had to read up about related stuff to it- the OPEC cartel, why prices are volatile, impact of the financial crisis...bah. washed up dishes after lunch and dried them with mum and two brothers. haha hey it's quite good for the family (: well at least it brings us together. dad went for some staff welfare outing so yea. hmm, welfare. supposed to organize some class outing cuz mr naresh wants to attend...well, that's not going to happen anytime soon.

mm, ida is gone. well i guess a number of us have good memories of her- i guess that's what counts. haha and she gave me a little filipino keychain before she left. have yet to find a place to hook it on to, though. just realized her face is quite unforgettable. actually looks quite young for someone 39 years old. like some natural botox...wut. anyway, goodbye.

thanks son for the magnet!! haha. "Don't Worry, Be Happy! :)" that's actually what my vietnamese roomate told me in boarding school when i was freaking out over exams from time to time. mm. it's nice how keeping faith makes things unbelievably better somehow- no matter what you've done, no matter what people say, no matter what's happened to you, no matter what you see.

and faith will help us all get through.

edit: found a nice latin quote;

Est autem fides credere quod nondum vides; cuius fidei merces est videre quod credis.
