late lunch/early dinner with juno, kh, yaseer and arthit at sumo house after bioee. was nice to have a chat and try out that place for the first time- they actually gave a free dish cause we were wearing student uniforms :) awesome. and the food was actually quite good too. katsudon! breaded chicken plus egg plus rice plus oranges plus miso soup plus some pickles they tried to pass off as vegetables. but only $3 :D good for the jew.
piano lesson tomorrow. haven't been practising the chopin mazurka i was given- pretty sad, since i only started learning it just now and realized i enjoyed it -_- okay very stupid. should've started two weeks ago. sighhh oh well. it's nice and contemplative; my teacher says i'm actually quite good at these kind of pieces :) romantic pieces are awesome. 20th century = no-no. classical and baroque are the in-between. new age...well, as my teacher puts it, it's kind of 'noob' in a way :/ i agree with that. anyway.
chapel was enlightening. it was encouraging to see so many others serenely meditating on the message, and others perpetually nodding in agreement. one fella near me was so on that he was scribbling stuff down on a foolscap o.O wow. sc video after that- sponsor a child. i wonder how much money their governments'll grab -_- it's so stupid. people donate thousands and thousands and think they're doing a lot of good when most, if not all, of it ends up in some random government official's bank account. good intentioned, but ya. yes, wole soyinka. it still happens. i guess what kh said was right- the only way you know you're helping them is going there yourself and helping them yourself.
"kids in africa" must be one of the most commonly mentioned phrases. i think there're some fb groups that go "i wish i could donate all my fat to the kids in africa". disgusting imo. sounds as if the african children're being degraded to a low, low level. rant ends here.
and continues here. haiti seems to be all the craze now. things are so different when people're are stripped down to almost bare human nature and in a way, darwinism comes into play... and reactions to this are somewhat amusing. never mind. i seem to be getting lost in my own world. i should stop here.
