just finished the five people you meet in heaven - by mitch albom. don't know why, but i enjoyed it a lot more than tuesdays with morrie and for one more day. mitch's books seem to aim to teach a lot of life's lessons. they're rather optimistic, too, although pretty much all the three books involve death. i'd say more on them, but, time. ):
forfeited econs ia last night to edit world lit- i think it makes a lot more sense now than before. looked through some other peoples' worldlits too.
alright, hold out till friday for the freaking long weekend. but darn, ee final draft is due by end of this week. ._. rot, my little grapes, rot, so papa can juice your infested organs for his bacteria. rottt.
oh, and we had some cny goodies today (: pineapple tarts! my auntie brought them. they look homemade and were quite good but the pineapple filling wasn't generous enough hehe. we had a whole huge tub of kueh bahlu too. these were quite soft and fluffy- probably baked quite recently. but i like a harder texture, when they've been left for a few days. not too hard, though- i like them when they're nice and crispy on the outside but still quite chewy on the inside. need to find a balance between too soft/hard. and we had kueh bangkit too :D two containers of them. awesome. something i could eat with my elastics on- just pop one or two into your mouth and they melt in your mouth. okay, i just did exactly that after typing that previous sentence LOL. mm, that little biscuit on my tongue slowly melting. nom nom. haha actually i think these goodies aren't technically cny ones- only pineapple tarts maybe- but it's nice to have a time in the year where your family keeps buying and buying them :) oh nuts i think kueh bangkit has coconut milk. face will suffer. sad. face.
