hello. :)

i'm back, and i'm fine. it was just a matter of turning to the right place. vitality! i feel fresh. got my room back too :) awesome.

king lear means a lot to me now, in a number of ways.

i feel econs is explained too much in a textbook manner and not in a 'humans' way enough.

i have my room back. happyyyyyy :) oh and baked some choc chip cookies. haha, my mum put all the large ones in some marks and spencers cylinder cookie tin. "looks more impressive", she says. i let them bake for 8 - 10 minutes; they seemed rather soft at the end, but after letting them cool down they got harder. haha the insides of the cookies were probably still being cooked by the hot cookie tray while they were 'cooling down'. used baking paper this time too! it's simply awesome- no need to grease/flour, just tear off a piece of baking paper and use as many times as you want. :) saved tons of time and trouble. i'll bring some tomorrow for everyone :)

went to oh farms at khatib to get rotten fruit for bio ee. ugh, it's the 3rd time i'm going back there and it's ridiculously far away. "hi uncle!" "yes boy" "i need rotten fruit" "!?!?" HAHA their reactions were funny but they led me around anyway. the people were super nice and cooperative :) some guy showed me a sack of rotten potatoes, then caught sight of a horribly rotted one and was like "ugh" and took hold of it to throw it away, then i said "NOOOOO wo yao na" :D and i got it in time. it was actually quite a challenge, asking them for rotted fruit/veg since i didn't know how to say 'rotted' in chinese. "ni men you po diao de shui guo he chai ma?" but it still got across. i didn't get much until they actually led me into the FREEZER ROOM. it was this little room where there were 2 PRC guys wearing winter clothing complete with beanies(LOL yes i was quite amused at first) peeling vegetables. super cool...both ways. it was freezing. somehow i managed to tahan 5 minutes in there while the...foreman? found some rotten vegetables here and there around the freezer room.

took a cab back- $18+, ugh. bye, cny savings. good thing my children didn't want my money...no matter how fake it was. LOL. but i gave boonhwee $10 (uh yes, monopoly $...) and a packet of raisins for her birthday! grow, grow. LOL wait wut. shall bake more soon- let's see, cornflake cookies and peanut butter frosted peanut butter cupcakes with strawberry jam on top. how's that? suggested by another baker in the class.

mm, i feel like i'm in a stable state of mind now. let's hope this lasts.
