interschool fencing from tues until tomorrow. went down on wednesday and thursday to support our brave swordsmen...and swordswoman, fine haha. koon han, pavan, hong yang and tarun were up on wednesday. well, none of them had it easy...poor tarun, who was up against a few national fencers in his group. but i think almost everyone made it to the next round :) well, we made progress! haha. i'd say our epee fencers fought well...okay, maybe except tarun: "lost my morale after the first match"..."so many national fencers"..."i have had an epee-phany. i think i'm going to leave fencing and join back basketball instead" LOL epeephany. funniest thing i'd heard the entire day. but, beloved epee fencers: you people fought well! it was good to see you all fighting so hard (okay maybe not you, my dear self-confessed tarun... :P) and i'm pretty sure you all gave your best so nothing more can be done :D it was heartening too to see some other acs fellows there supporting. ah, pity our president couldn't make it. but it was understandable seeing that she must have been pretty exhausted from uploading photos on facebook...

thursday: A division saber and foil matches. apparently, juno looked very korean in his fencing apparel...hehe, jun hao. it was quite fun watching winston's matches- after conceding 3 points to the opponent, he made an easy comeback to finish at 3-5. that was quite pro...hmm, pity we didn't see the same level of skill in our foil A division. it's actually rather worrying when you see your school's fencer struggling to connect the body wires to the electronic sensor...things don't get better when fencers from rival schools have to come and help the struggling little girl. LOL. hahaha it was actually quite funny la. okay, so xintian ceded the first four matches with a 'perfect' score...but won two matches after that!? haha wow, we were all quite surprised/astonished/impressed/a mix of all three. congrats, small one. she actually made it to the second round where her first game was against a national fencer...uh-oh. that was that.

it seems kind of funny that probably around 50% of fencers in singapore are national fencers. spoils the competition market :( on the bright side, if that fencer is from your school...winston!! haha, he's so pro. the finals was quite tense at first. the battle cries from him and his opponent were also kinda...disturbing, haha. at least it wasn't as noisy as the bellows of some other epee fencer which sounded more like, well, as if he were in labour. congrats on gold, mr chew :) thankyew supporters who came down (you too ian, esp cause you're not even in fencing :D) haha and edward, who seems to turn up wherever we are. thank you for being there! and all my fellow fencers, i am so very proud of you for fighting against the generally (very) tough competition and staying strong till the end of the day.

my two two valiant fencers :D in the middle and right of the picture. LOL. hahaha jk, tarun. :P see, you guys are so worth it i bother to upload a photo of you all and i. which is quite something since i probably wouldn't normally because i'm so unphotogenic, boooo.

not included in picture:

juno cho aka kimchi, brave saberist whose zip got stuck and needed edward to use some cheem tool to undo it LOL.
xintian aka granddaughter, petite foilist whose putting-on-body-wire skills need to be improved, but put on a great fight and won two matches very unexpectedly (LOL no offence seriously :) )
hong yang aka sexy chinaman (as quoted by winston). probably the only PRC fencer whose name i actually know...
the rest of the PRC dudes. SORRY you guys never speak english to me so i can't really differentiate if you're telling me your name or talking about something else. heck, chines sounds all the same.
winston chew aka our one and only hope that came through :D haha, he was so nice. bought us all munchy donuts after his victory. the promiscuousness, though... :/
tangjie aka laoshi aka the genius who told xt to incorporate wushu moves into her game. not so clever, perhaps...
edward aka edward who so kindly magically appears every training to help us :D
ianwong aka monk (LOL no one will forget k :P) who came down even earlier than me to support our fencers.
the y5 fencers aka chunwee etc etc (i don't know their name, they don't know mine. wut) who came too to support the team.

hey, i realize i'm tired. but first!! this song is nice. (:

promise me by beverly craven. it's quite old and the lyrics are quite hard to follow sometimes. but it's beautiful :)

darn, world lit and ee. ee the whole weekend. world lit...sigh. woke up at 3.45am last morning/night/ohwhatdifferencedoesitmake to do it. went on msn. LOL, a few seconds after i logged in:

Boon Sim says:
WTF?!!?!?

hahaha he'd just finished his bio prac and was going to sleep. and guess who was online? the only one whose body clock is probably more messed up than mine... LOL. hi, daughter. what on earth, seriously. i think you said your brain went something like 'i'll take a quick rest, then when he comes back we can do work!!' during my shower. yea, that totally worked out man.

and the jokers who played with my badminton stuff today. who was the genius who put the shuttles back into the tube cork-in first...ON BOTH SIDES. hi, how on earth am i supposed to take out a shuttle next time? bah, it was rather distracting during fencing too. during the '5 minute water break'- winston: "eh, let me one round". me letting him take the racket pretty much ended the rest of our training as the one round divided somehow (binary fission?) to, well, many many many. sigh, even our student coach gets distracted haha.

voting for fencing exco was just...LOL. winston and his unstoppable desire to be "overall captain" even though such a role doesn't exist. yet, that is. and what he said: "we need girls with-" uh okay nevermind this isn't very appropriate here. those who were there would know...

shucks, didn't i say i was tired some time ago :/ alright, for once i shan't procrastinate.

goodnight world
