tok is over!! AT LAST. urrgh. the stress leading up till today was horrible. "i think we're set". "we can get the powerpoint in one solid hour". "we can do this man". right...yez, i churned out 4k words in 2 days for our script. that's more than i've typed for my ee, actually...sigh, presentation was at 1. got up at 6 to work on the script and ppt. wx was supposed to come by 8. his sms was kinda expected- "I'm late as usual..." can't remember what time he arrived but it wasn't too early haha. sigh why are we so good. like on tuesday, when we were supposed to meet up at the school library to tokop. supposed to meet at 8. arrived at 9am...found daughter and her daughter there instead. wx arrived almost 2 hours later...well, we didn't get much done on that day anyway, surprisingly.

anyway. today, we finished our script at 12.30 at my home. printed two copies, booked a taxi through phone, found a taxi on the way out of the condo, got inside. the taxi service called back with an angry uncle on the other end.

"sorry uncle, my mummy don't allow me go out anymore..."
"hah? so you don't need anymore?
" "no, sorry..."
"at least you can call to tell right?"
"but i didn't know which number to call"
-uncle hangs up-

sorryyyy uncle! oh well. my number's probably been blacklisted from that taxi-booking service anyway :/ well, in the taxi, realized i'd left my script at home. sigh...now our only opportunity to rehearse (even if it was to the taxi driver...) had been wasted. photocopied wx's script at uncle tony in school before rushing to the old LT where our ppt was. wx added a last minute slide in on Implications ("oh **** dude we forgot implications" *creates new slide and starts typing frantically). i think the examiners didn't really get us...well, main thing was the conclusion which mr connor attacked quite viciously. wx and i'd wanted different conclusions...well, we went with his and i guess we were okay la. although i made the counterclaim a bit too strong that the conclusion seemed rather surprising at the end "because we had built a very strong case" in the counterclaim as mr connor said.

the end! no more tokop. uh, hopefully...

saw grandpa off at the airport just now. haha, my parents and i arrived and met him and my granduncle and grandauntie near the departure gate. my mum wanted to have a cuppa with grandpa but he was like "no la, you all go...i go board already". hahaha we all know why- he misses grandma so much. she stayed in australia while he came to stay for awhile and attend his sister's funeral in m'sia. they're quite a couple. when they were here together last year, they were always bickering, squabbling...now when grandpa's here, he gets my uncles and aunties to stay with grandma so she won't feel lonely. and she calls him everyday because she misses him so much. hahah and my parents wanted grandpa to stay longer at our place, but he kept saying "must go back...grandma so poor thing" and kept saying that repeatedly. no wonder he was so happy to see us off at the airport. yay, happy couple! :D they're so sweet.

got some stuff at a supermarket at the airport before coming back. important stuff for this weekend's scout camp! dettol hand sanitizer- an essential. i got the one with aloe vera- it says "refresh" for some reason, but aloe vera makes it all gentler. very important for smooth hands. got some nivea facial cleansing wipes too. 2 days in the wilderness without a wash! this is so needed. i got the 'gentle' version, too. contains almond and calendula oil, whatever that is...it sounds good. the packet of wipes is pink, though, and i feel like a girl.

also packed a little bottle of mouthwash. which hygienic person wouldn't make sure their buccal cavity wasn't clean when out in the wild? actually, i wouldn't, but bad breath can scare. one little rinse of this every morning is all you need to convince others you've brushed your teeth...and finally, packed a little bottle of aloe vera gel in cause of cuts/burns. it has rose petal inside! it smells pretty good. and feels good too, of course. let's see: hand sanitizer, facial wipes, mouthwash and aloe vera gel. oh well, i guess a toughened, hardened scout like me could do with these few bare necessities while away from civilization for a few days...hmm, i wonder if there's still space to smuggle kit kat through. the wafer in the chocolate is so niceee :d wait, that wouldn't be in the spirit of the scouts camp. that would be selfish. i must remember to smuggle enough chocolates through for all the scouts in my group so everyone has a fair share.

actually no. more for me! >:D food is good. let them poke at their barely cooked rice/chicken/vegetables(UGH) while i feast on chocolate. actually, no. i think the limit would be the hand sanitizer and small items...i shall bear the burden of eating poor food with the rest.

mira goes to the coroner tomorrow at 109 north bridge road. hopefully the weekend'll be enough to resurrect her as someone else.

did you think warm days would never cease?
there are no more songs of Spring!
and swallows twitter in the sky.

to autumn!
